19Feb Music and Self Talk

&ltp align=”center”&gtMusic and Self Talk&lt/p&gt
&ltp&gtTo do self talk, that is, to talk to  self, you do not will need any sophisticated mechanism. It is happening and it’s  happening all the time, inside your mind the way the sun is burning endlessly  giving off light all the time.&lt/p&gt
&ltp&gtWe all have constant conversations in our  minds. These conversations cannot be different from what we really converse  with others around us. These conversations can’t be with out background music  too or consequence in our life.&lt/p&gt
&ltp&gtYes, these inner conversations are also  not neutral like taste of water or harmonic musical in their oscillations. They  all are happing to give us hope, discomfort, enjoy and myriads emotional  transformations.&lt/p&gt
&ltp&gtMost of these inner level, the subs  conscious level thoughts and dialogues take place when we are normally alone not  crowded with every day mechanical rhythm of life, specially when we are unable to  comprehend the circumstances of life.&lt/p&gt
&ltp&gtThe silence becomes music of life,  existing in really corner becomes the form of life. Becoming empty with thoughts  and unknown consequences becomes daily dose of musical melody. You adore talking  to self with silence as background music.&lt/p&gt
&ltp&gtMusic plays undoubtedly role in ringing  those bells in our life which were silence for some time and the moment we are  happy and achieved something in life.&lt/p&gt
&ltp&gtThe psychology of music impacts everyone  in diverse approaches. If there is a big cinema hall and there are several people  listening to very same tonal idiom, tempo, rhythm and number of notes the impact on  our inner thoughts will be exclusive from all their music preceptors sitting in  exact same hall.&lt/p&gt
&ltp&gtPeople suffering from Down’s syndrome and  William syndrome can significantly benefit from music, particularly kids with  intellectual disabilities, because music works at the level of our inner self  where we talk and encourage or discourage ourselves to take on life.&lt/p&gt

17Feb Halloween around the world

Ireland

Snap-Apple Night by Daniel Maclise portrays a Halloween party in Blarney, Ireland, in 1832. The young children on the right bob for apples. A couple in the center play “Snap-Apple,” which involves retrieving an apple hanging from a string. The couples at left play divination games.

Halloween is a significant cultural event in Ireland; it is widely celebrated. It is known in Irish as Oche Shamhna (Irish pronunciation: [ih haun] ee-hah how-nah), literally “Samhain Night.” In the Irish language, Samhain is the name for the month of November. Pre-Christian Celts had an autumn festival, Samhain (Irish pronunciation: [saun], from the Old Irish samain), “End of Summer,” a pastoral and agricultural “fire festival” or feast, when the dead revisited the mortal world and large communal bonfires would hence be lit to ward off evil spirits. Costumes and masks being worn at Halloween goes back to the Celtic traditions of attempting to copy the evil spirits or placate them. Samhnag Candle lanterns carved from turnips, were part of the traditional festival. Large turnips were hollowed out, carved with faces and placed in windows, also used to ward off harmful spirits.
